2. Indian Institute of Technology- Delhi

Indian Institute of Technology Delhi is one of the 23 IITs created to be Centres of Excellence for training, research and development in science, engineering and technology in India.Established as College of Engineering in 1961, was renamed as “Indian Institute of Technology Delhi”.
It was given the status of a Deemed University with powers to conduct its own examinations and to decide its own academic policies, and to award its degrees.Since its foundation, over 48000 students have graduated from IIT Delhi in various disciplines including Engineering, Physical Sciences, Management and Humanities & Social Sciences. 3. Indian Institute of Technology- Kanpur

IIT Kanpur was established in 1960 through the provisions of an act of Parliament. It is a public engineering college that offers more than 60 courses across five streams. The institute ranks at 5th position for engineering and 6th overall as per NIRF 2019. Internationally, IIT Kanpur was ranked 291 in QS World University Rankings for 2020.

4.Indian Institute of Technology- Chennai

Indian Institute of Technology Madras is one of the best institutes of national importance in higher technological education, and applied research. 7. Indian Institute of Technology (BHU)- Varanasi

IIT(BHU) Varanasi is a public engineering institution located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Founded in 1919 as the Banaras Engineering College, it became the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University in 1968. IIT BHU Varanasi has 14 departments and three inter-disciplinary schools. Admission to IIT BHU is entirely based on the ranks obtained in JEE Advanced, GATE or GPAT. IIT BHU has collaborated with University of Cambridge (UK), University of Oxford (UK), University of Sheffield (UK). Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, the sixth member of the IIT fraternity, was established in 1994. The academic programme of IIT Guwahati commenced in 1995. At present the Institute has eleven departments and five inter-disciplinary academic centres covering all the major engineering, science and humanities disciplines, offering BTech, BDes, MA, MDes, MTech, MSc and PhD programmes.

IIT Hyderabad is one among the 2nd generation of IITs started by the Govt. of India. Today IITH offers 9 B.Tech programs, 16 M.Tech programs, 3 M.Sc programs, 5 M.Phil programs, 1 M.Des program and Ph.D. programs in all branches of engineering, science, liberal arts and design. 10.Indian Institute of Technology- Indore

IIT Indore is an institute of national importance established by the Government of India in 2009. It is one of the eight new IITs, started by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (India), Government of India. The foundation of the permanent campus was laid on 17th February 2009. The campus is spread over an area of around 501.42 acre. IIT Indore has 11 academic departments: Computer Science & Engineering, Metallurgy Engineering and Materials Science, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Biosciences and Biomedical Engineering, Astronomy, Astrophysics and Space Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences and Electrical Engineering.
